Futian commercial district, Shenzhen

At the 2026 Shenzhen Finance and AI Scenario Matching Conference on October 20, the Shenzhen FinTech Association released a catalogue of 53 financial AI solutions from 42 vendors, covering risk control, operations, customer service and investment research. WeBank said it has launched more than 100 vertical AI applications and over 90 digital employees, and Ping An P&C said robots now issue 93% of its auto insurance policies.

Why it matters: Shenzhen is trying to move financial AI from pilots to scale and to build a joint Hong Kong-Shenzhen fintech cluster. Officials at the event noted Hong Kong ranks first and Shenzhen third for fintech in the latest Global Financial Centres Index.
